Recently working on this painting, its interesting to see how it changes each iteration. It no longer resembles the model but that was never the real intention anyway. Capturing a glimpse of an specific expression is.
Started as a project to do portraits with the idea to show various backgrounds reflecting the persons inner self as a contrast to the actual face..or something. Not sure if its succeded in that. First in a series, oil on panel, 40x50cm.
